Meet Curt Dawkins- Background (cont.)


Diversifying into poly packaging came by way of listening to a customer one day, as he shared his frustrations about his bag supplier.  The year was 1999 and my customer was the plant manager of Applegate Insulation in Georgia, a buyer of recycled newsprint.  I offered to find a better packaging solution and he agreed to give me a chance.  After a few months of research I found a capable and competitive manufacturer.  The Georgia plant was happy with their new bags and within two years we were supplying each of Applegate’s six plants; ten years later we continue to serve the Applegate plants.

In 2005, I purchased the packaging business from my partner and formed PolyTran, Inc.
We’ve grown every year, diversified our supplier and customer base significantly and are quickly becoming a force in the industries we serve.
